Library Update 6/3/2020: The book drop will be open starting at 10 am on Monday, June 8th. We ask, if possible, that patrons with last names that start with letters A-E begin to return items on Monday, last names that start with F-J on Tuesday, K-O on Wednesday, P-T on Thursday, and U-Z on Friday. This will help reduce the number of items returned each day for the first week. If the book drop is full, please wait to return your items. We will be emptying the book drop many times throughout the week.
Your returned items will be placed into quarantine and will still appear as “checked out” on your account. They will be checked in when safety and staffing permit. This will not affect the amount of items you are allowed to borrow. No fines will be charged during this time.
On June 15th, we will begin phasing in curbside pickup of library materials.
We will continue to provide remote services throughout the reopening process. Our digital branch is open 24/7. All of our electronic resources will be available for our patrons on our website.
Borrow ebooks and audiobooks at https://lancasterlibraries.overdrive.com/ or download Libby for your phone or tablet. If you need to renew an expired library card, please contact the library system here.
All of our electronic resources will continue to be available at http://online.lancasterlibraries.org. You’ll find more ebooks and audiobooks, graphic novels, animated story books, job search help, genealogy resources, news, research and homework help, all for FREE.
We look forward to serving you in person again as soon as possible! Stay safe and healthy.
