Since opening in 1954 in the basement of the Adamstown YMCA, the library has grown into a modern, service‑oriented resource for the community. Today, we serve residents of Adamstown and Denver Boroughs, as well as Brecknock, East Cocalico, and West Cocalico Townships.
Funded primarily through local and state support, the Adamstown Area Library provides free membership to all Pennsylvania residents. Your library card grants access to materials and services across all Lancaster County libraries. Items borrowed from any library in the county can also be easily returned right here at our Adamstown location.
