Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC)

As an approved Educational Improvement Organization (EIO) through Pennsylvania’s EITC Program, the Library System of Lancaster County—along with our member libraries—offers businesses a powerful way to support regional youth literacy programs

The Adamstown Area Library is happy to participate in this program!

By participating, your company can make a lasting impact on our community while enjoying substantial financial benefits:

  • One-Year Commitment: Earn a tax credit equal to 75% of your contribution.
  • Two-Year Commitment: Pledge the same annual amount for two consecutive years to earn an increased credit of 90% each year.

  1. Consult Your Tax Professional: Speak with your accountant or tax advisor to confirm your company’s eligibility for the PA EITC tax credits.
  2. Select a Location: Review the participating libraries below and choose the location(s) you wish to support.
  3. Submit Your Application

  4. Notify Your Library Contact: Inform your chosen library’s contact person both before and immediately after you submit your application.
  5. Secure Your Documentation: Once notified, your library contact will draft and send an official commitment letter for your records.
