Our Community Lending Library goes beyond books—it’s a place where you can borrow a wide variety of useful items to support your home, hobbies, and everyday life. What started with a few games and baking pans has grown to include a sewing machine, telescope, and much more. This collection is designed to help you try new things, tackle projects, and save money—without the need to buy or store items you only use occasionally. Just like borrowing a book, it’s free and open to everyone with a library card.
Items can be reserved online, but most cannot be sent through the crates to other libraries. Adamstown Area Library pickup only.
Please return all Community Lending Library items to the library where it was originally borrowed from. Make sure all contents are placed back inside the box, bag or container, and bring it to the library’s circulation desk. Items from the Community Lending Library may not be returned through the library book drop.
