2019 Summer Reading – A Universe of Stories!

Summer Reading starts Saturday, June 1st, 2019

Summer reading programs help students retain their current reading levels over the summer and avoid the dreaded “summer slide.” Reading whatever interests them during the summer also helps to instill a life-long love of reading! Here’s a great article on ways to encourage your child to read  this summer: article from the Washington Post

Starting on June 1st, children, adults, and families can pick up their summer reading packets. Sign-up sheets and bags for children and teens will be located at the front table inside the library. Awesome prizes and incentives are offered for children and teens who complete and return their summer reading forms!
