Family Place

Family Place™ is a center for early childhood information, parent education, early literacy, socialization and family support. Each Family Place™ workshop session features art, blocks, books, puzzles, a storytime, puppets and more!  Since an integral part of the project is the collaboration between community agencies and the library, there will be resource people from the community on hand to informally answer parenting questions and concerns. It is recommended that parents and children try to attend all five morning or evening sessions.

Funding for the Adamstown Area Library’s Family Place™ is made possible by a Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services as administered by Pennsylvania Department of Education through the Office of Commonwealth Libraries and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Tom Wolf, Governor.
